Terms of Service
Last updated: March 23, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Welo mobile application and website (getwelo.app), operated by Super Big Company ("we," "our," or "us"). By using Welo, you agree to these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Welo app, or by visiting getwelo.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our services.
2. Description of Service
Welo is an ingredient safety scanning application that analyzes skincare, beauty, baby, and household products against clinical safety databases. The app provides personalized safety scores based on user-configured family profiles (age group, skin conditions, allergens).
3. Not Medical Advice
Welo is an informational tool, not a medical device. Safety scores and ingredient flags are based on publicly available safety data and should not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult with a qualified healthcare provider, dermatologist, or pediatrician regarding health concerns about specific products or ingredients.
4. Accuracy and Limitations
While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date ingredient safety information:
- Product formulations may change without notice from manufacturers
- Our database may not cover every product or ingredient
- Safety assessments reflect current available research and may evolve
- Barcode and OCR scanning accuracy depends on image quality and product packaging
We make no guarantees about the completeness or accuracy of safety scores. Use Welo as one tool among many in making informed purchasing decisions.
5. User Accounts and Profiles
Welo does not require account creation. Family profiles are stored locally on your device. You are responsible for the accuracy of the profile information you provide, as it directly affects the safety scores you receive.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use Welo for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to access our services at scale
- Interfere with or disrupt the app's infrastructure
- Misrepresent Welo's safety scores as medical certifications or regulatory approvals
7. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of the Welo app and website — including text, graphics, logos, and software — are owned by Super Big Company and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without written permission.
8. Third-Party Content
Welo references ingredient safety data from third-party clinical databases. We do not control this third-party data and are not responsible for its accuracy. Our safety scores represent our own analysis based on available data sources.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
Welo is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Super Big Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or loss of data, arising from your use of Welo.
Our total liability for any claims related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service (which is zero for the free tier).
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Super Big Company, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of Welo or violation of these Terms.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes through the app or website. Your continued use of Welo after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to Welo at any time, without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or our business.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles.
